Trompe L'oeil is a term that means, 'To Fool The Eye'. You know it already as the awesome painted illusion of making a flat surface appear to be a three dimensional object. It's always a lot of fun to watch the reactions of people as they touch the surface and thrill on the fact is is just painted and not really and actual object.
